Art Journal: Color

Taking inventory of my FolkArt acrylic paints. They are inexpensive, non-toxic, and great for playing in an art journal. :)

Runner & Stone

Did I ever mention that I love croissants? Especially almond croissants? Well Runner & Stone is one of the best bakery/restaurants in the "Gowanus" section of Brooklyn (right near Park Slope and Carroll Gardens), serving the yummiest almond croissants, breads, homemade pretzels, coffees...

I love food, but I am by no means a foodie or food writer. I have eaten many, many almond croissants, though, so trust me and go. You will not be disappointed.

Hearts Completed

I was playing around with my sewing stash and some paint a couple of weeks ago and I've finally finished some fabric hearts. They're a little wonky, and a little squishy, and a lot of lovely love. Yup, that's how I would describe them.

Luckily, my mom came over this week. She helped me stuff the hearts and she sewed the outside edges with an invisible stitch (my attempt was not invisible at all). She also gave me a bunch of sewing tips for the next time I decide to take on a sewing project.
